  • Potatoes: 4 small potatoes
  • Olive oil: ½ tablespoon
  • Salt: ¼ teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon, ground
  • Smoked paprika: Optional, for extra flavor
  • Herbs: Optional, such as oregano or thyme

How to make it

The secret is drying them well before cooking:
  1. Start by cutting the potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
  2. Wash them under cold water to remove excess starch.
  3. If you have time, leave the potatoes soaking in cold water in the fridge for a while for extra crispiness.
  4. Drain and dry the potatoes really well using paper towels or a clean kitchen towel.
  5. Place them in a bowl and add olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and any herbs you like.
  6. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  7. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Cook at 180ºC for 20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  9. Increase the temperature to 190ºC and cook for another 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy.
