Big flavor, minimal effort

These air fryer chicken wings come out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with barely any oil. A simple spice mix and a light flour coating give them that perfect texture—great for a quick meal or game night.

Ingredients needed for Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings

What you'll need

Simple seasoning, great results:
  • Chicken wings: 650 g, raw
  • All-purpose flour: 30 g
  • Smoked paprika: 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon, ground
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Olive oil spray: Light coating

How to make it

Crispy wings, no deep fryer needed:
  1. Start by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels—this helps them get crispy.
  2. Lightly spray the wings with olive oil. Don't overdo it, just enough to help the coating stick.
  3. In a bag or bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Add the wings and shake (or toss) until they're evenly coated.
  5. Place the wings in the air fryer in a single layer.
  6. Cook at 180ºC for 15-17 minutes.
  7. Increase the temperature to 200ºC and cook for another 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  8. Serve hot—perfect on their own or with your favorite sauce. My choice is a smoky bbq!
